(Vom) Il fascino dello sciancato. Mi sono invaghito di questo disco per merito della mia sbadataggine, confondendo le indicazioni degli RPM ed invertendo il lato A con il B. Tradotto in soldoni, avevo eletto a miglior traccia quella dei Father Murphy, ascoltandola però in loop a 33 giri contro i 45 consigliati, credendo che fossero gli How Much Wood… Il chaos primordiale. Depressiva, lenta da evocare sfacelo e collisioni d’universi. Incantevole compagna per il lato opposto, ugualmente rarefatto, avvolto da fumi d’apocalisse folk, cigni neri in un supplex tale da minacciare crolli improvvisi. Non mi importa stare qua a sbrigliare la matassa spiegandovi chi è chi e chi fa cosa, e tantomeno snocciolare il consueto rosario di nomi propri, discografie, progetti principali o paralleli. Credo siate abbastanza svegli da sapere che un 7” split è costituito di norma da due gruppi. Mettete quindi l’oggetto sul piatto e decidete in seguito come e chi amare di più, oppure abbandonatevi al magma di incertezza godendo dell’insieme tutto, cercando anche di resistere al crepitante scricchiolio che un errore di fabbricazione ha impresso nei solchi dei torinesi figli di Herzog.
